In this session, learn how to utilize the various lenses of data interpretation offered by the BDI-3 to enhance your understanding of student performance.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the levels of interpretation of the BDI-3 and how each informs understanding of student performance. 

  • Discuss the clinical utility of the Relative Developmental Index and Change Sensitive Score.  

  • Identify application opportunities of the RDI and CSS in the evaluation process.  

  • Analyze student performance in order to make instructional recommendations.

 Assessment of early learners requires a unique set of skills. In this session, we will explore how evaluators can leverage what they already know about the evaluation process and how to apply this knowledge to better understand early childhood development.

  • Identify the skills needed by an early childhood examiner. 

  • Describe the skills you already have and how you can use them. 

  • Assess how the BDI-3 helps you use these skills.
