What if we've pre-purchased older material?
Planning Ahead: Transitioning to Updated Materials
We understand that some schools and districts may have pre-purchased older materials to make use of available funding, without realizing that the date of birth (DOB) field will not be usable. To support a smooth transition, proactive communication will be sent in March 2025 to provide guidance on this update and the availability of new materials.
For those testing with CogAT, Iowa, or Logramos Levels 5, 5/6, or 6 in the 2025-2026 school year (and with each subsequent level in the following years), the process will be as follows:
- Report Inventory – Schools and districts can inform their Riverside representative of the number of older materials that need replacement.
- Receive Credit – Customer support will calculate the value of the older materials and apply a credit toward an order of updated materials. Please note that the discount will not cover the full cost, as scoring services are included in the updated materials.
- Transition to New Materials – Older materials should be properly disposed of, and new materials should be used for testing moving forward.
Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition so that testing continues without disruption. If you have any questions, your Riverside representative will be happy to assist!
