CogAT®: Testing time, Number of Items per Subtest and Completion Criteria.

Please see the below chart for information on CogAT® testing time, the number of items, and completion criteria. Please note that levels 5/6-8 are not timed. Levels 9-17/18 are given 10 minutes per subtest for a total testing time of 90 minutes.

An exception to this applies to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodation who are allowed extended time. Guidance from the student’s IEP should be followed where extended time is needed. Administration times may be adjusted by school-system policy for individuals or groups; responsibility for such adjustments lies with the testing program decision-maker, not the test administrators.
