CogAT Assessments Proctoring Need To Knows
There are specific instances with CogAT testing where the information below can be helpful to know prior to administering the test.
- Levels 5-8 can be fully administered in 6 additional languages, along with English and Spanish, by using Alt-Verbal administration. Click HERE for the list of additional languages available. *Please note: Alt-Verbal removes the Sentence Completion subtest, using only Picture Analogies and Picture Classification for the Verbal battery score*
- To assign ALT-Verbal to a whole grade, choose "Alt-Verbal" when creating the test assignment. If you wish to have specific student test using Alt-Verbal, you can OVERRIDE single student assignments PRIOR to testing. If you have already started testing the student, you will NOT be able to override their assignment and will need to reach out to DataManager Technical Support for help.
- All tests for Levels 5-8 are untimed. All tests Levels 9 and up are allotted 10 minutes per test.
- Events set up for the Screening Form and Post-Screener must be dated within 30 days of each other in order for students to be allowed to test in the Post event and receive composite scores. Click HERE for more information on setting up these events.
- Scratch paper: Students are allowed to have scratch paper for all subtests EXCEPT Paper Folding.
