About the Session:

Join Jonathan Klingeman of State College, PA and Riverside Insights' Vickie Driver as they discuss universal screening protocols and modifications for GT services and its implications for the underserved.

Learning Objectives:

  • ​Understand the benefits of universal screening and its limitations with respect to traditionally underserved populations

  • Review identification protocols and research-based modifications that may be beneficial to create greater equity and representation in identification, including the use of multiple measures, nonverbal testing options, and adjusting cut scores and/or composite measures

  • Hear strategies for placement and talent development for students on the cusp who may not be quite ready for GT services
