BDI3: Determining what to order

Overview

The BDI-3™ uses a flexible scoring model that allows you to choose how your team accesses and uses Riverside Score™. Whether you prefer paper forms, digital scoring, or a combination of both, the following steps outline how to get started and what’s required for setup and renewal.

Steps

  1. Purchase Kits

    • Buy the number of BDI-3 kits needed for your team.

    • Each kit includes both paper and digital record forms (ERFs), so you can score the way you prefer.

  2. Buy Access Keys for Riverside Score Users

    • Every user logging into Riverside Score™ needs their own BDI-3 access key.

    • Access keys cost $180/year per user (just $15/month).

  3. Choose Your Scoring Method

    • 🔹 Digital

      • Download the free MDS (Mobile Data Solution) from within your Riverside Score™ account.

      • Use offline, automatic scoring and sync back to Riverside Score™ for robust reports.

      • ✅ Requires Digital ERFs only.

    • 🔹 Digital/Paper Combo

      • Administer the test on paper, then enter scores in Riverside Score™.

      • Enjoy electronic scoring with detailed reports.

      • ✅ Requires Paper + Digital ERFs.

    • 🔹 Paper (Hand-Scoring)

      • Administer and score manually using paper record forms.

      • Log into Riverside Score™ only to access the Norms and Conversion Manual.

      • ✅ Requires Paper ERFs only.

  4. Renew After 1 Year

    • Access keys must be renewed annually at the same rate: $180/year per user.

    • No need to repurchase kits—only renew the access keys for active users.

Additional Notes

  • Users who do not need to score or report do not require an access key.

  • Digital scoring through the MDS increases efficiency and reduces data entry errors.
