Account Holders can manage test administration licenses, run testing activity reports, set notifications for impending limits, and view current license information to determine when to purchase or renew subscriptions.
IMPORTANT: The features, actions, and links related to Manage Testing Activity and View Licenses are available to Account Holders only.
License Balances
Online testing licenses, shown as the License Balance column in the first table below, are purchased before testing. The number of those appear as credit balances until used.
Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) administrations, shows as the Administration Balance column in the second table on the page, reflect the balance of answer documents that have been scanned and scored after students have tested.
Test Activity
Online test activity appears on the exported Test Activity Detail spreadsheet as follows. For any date that a student tested:
- Withdrawals (license deductions) occur per unique student according to the table below.

- Deposits occur whenever an institution purchases more licenses.
- Subscription Usage is the number of unique students who tested on a given day. As shown in the table below, licenses for assessments such as IowaFlex can be used without being counted as withdrawals.
Note: As a benchmark assessment, IowaFlex is designed to be administered more than once during the school year, so this field counts any administrations of the test for students who have already tested initially. - Balance equals deposits minus withdrawals. Subscription Usage does not impact the Balance.
