Recognizing the Warning Signs: Indicators for At-Risk Students

About the Session:

With the increasing issues of violence in the schools, this session will highlight important indicators that can be used by school personnel to provide proactive interventions to at-risk students. This session will review updated behavioral stats and preview a new at-risk screener, “Healthy Minds, Safe Schools” that can lead to early identification of these students.


Instructor Credentials:

Tammy L. Stephens, Ph.D., is an educational diagnostician and former special education teacher and has a Ph.D. in Special Education with an emphasis in Assessment. She is the author of numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals focusing on topics including dyslexia and dysgraphia evaluations and the importance of considering exclusionary factors. Dr. Stephens is the author of Core-Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP) and the creator of the Beyond the Score webinars.
