This guidance applies to materials from any Riverside Insights clinical product, including current products — Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJ IV), Woodcock-Johnson V (WJ V), Batería IV, Woodcock-Muñoz Language Survey III (WMLS III), Tests of Early Cognitive and Academic Development (ECAD), and Battelle Developmental Inventory, 3rd Edition (BDI-3) — as well as retired materials such as Woodcock-Johnson III (WJ III) and Battelle Developmental Inventory, 2nd Edition (BDI-2). While Riverside Insights does not currently offer a specific recycling program for this purpose, it is important for individuals and organizations to take responsibility for securely disposing of assessment materials.

Maintain Data Privacy

To protect sensitive information and maintain data privacy, it is essential to handle assessment materials with care. Follow these guidelines:

  1. Limit Access: Ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the assessment materials at all times.

Shredding

Shredding assessment materials is a common and effective method of secure disposal. Shredding makes it nearly impossible for unauthorized individuals to retrieve any sensitive information. Follow these shredding guidelines:

  1. Cross-Cut Shredders: Use cross-cut shredders, which cut paper into small, confetti-like pieces, ensuring that the information cannot be easily reconstructed.
  2. Full Document Destruction: Shred the entire assessment material, including any covers, answer sheets, or supplemental documents that may contain sensitive information.
  3. Professional Services: Consider hiring professional shredding services if you have a large amount of material or require higher security levels.

Recycling
