Can I Use the WJ IV and WJ V at the Same Time?
Yes. Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJ IV) and Woodcock-Johnson V (WJ V) are separate platforms with separate accounts, so you can run both at once and finish your existing WJ IV work while your team moves across to WJ V.
What running both means in practice
- You may hold two sets of sign-in details, one for each platform. This is normal, and it's why WJ V does not appear inside your WJ IV account.
- Your remaining WJ IV scoring licenses stay usable.
- Adding a colleague to WJ V does not automatically give them WJ IV access, and vice versa. The two platforms have separate user lists.
Equipment
Woodcock-Johnson V (WJ V) was normed with the examiner on a laptop or computer and the examinee on an iPad. A touchscreen tablet (ideally an iPad) is required for the examinee, and this requirement applies equally to in-person and remote administration. This is a change from Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJ IV) and is worth checking before you schedule testing.
