CogAT®: Missing or Inaccurate Age Scores

Below are a few things to check if you are missing scores or have inaccurate age scores for your students

Age scores could be missing or inaccurate for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Student's date of birth is listed incorrectly      
  • Student is under the age 4 years and 11 months
  • The student did not answer enough questions to receive a score

Below are troubleshooting steps to help identify the cause of a missing/inaccurate age score based on how CogAT was administered.

ONLINE TESTING:

  • Check to ensure the student has the correct date of birth listed and the age of the student is correct for the administration date on their report
  • Use the Norms and Score Conversions guide located in the Resources tab in the upper right corner of DataManager to see if the score matches the table
  • Contact Technical Support for assistance with looking into a missing score if all student information is correct and it does appear the student completed all testing

PAPER/PENCIL TESTING:

  • Customer Support can submit a data change to correct the students' date of birth or an inquiry to Scoring Services about tests (There is an additional fee and this process can take 7-10 business days to complete and ship to the requested address)
